Godly vs Worldly: Is it simply a mindset?
Godly vs Worldly
By truly accepting God’s gifts and the 9 fruits of the Spirit – we don’t need to earn them – and embracing them, it’s time to set our minds right. This is crucial to walk the Narrow Road in Jesus’ footsteps, thinking kindly and compassionately like He did.
Jesus lived without sin, which seems impossible for us. But filling our minds with godly thoughts means no bad thoughts, not even gossip. It’s about avoiding frustration, stress, agitation, worry, and anxiety, trusting instead in God’s favor and promise of salvation.
These thoughts are worldly – Satan’s territory. God wants us to reject them, let them go, and trust in Him. If a bad thought or word comes to mind, ask out loud for forgiveness. You can’t think bad thoughts while speaking good ones 😊.
This frustrates Satan, and over time, you’ll leave less space for him. Be relentless: thank God, praise God, ask God for anything, tell God you love Him. Satan hates this – you’ll build a mental fortress with no room for the unwanted guest.
As a child of God, with God living in you through the Holy Spirit, why invite Satan, an unwanted guest, into God’s temple? 👉 Tip: Fill your mind with good, kind, compassionate, joyous, and loving thoughts about anything and everything.
If you stumble? Say, “Sorry, Lord,” and smile and move on – you’ve got victory over Satan through Jesus. Amen!
