24/01/2026 – Easy Prayer Starter For Every Day
Why not start with the “1st STEP” of the day way!
S – “Sorry” – be Sincere in anything you want forgiveness for
T – “Thanks” – Give thanks to God for EVERY single good thing or blessing in Your life. Thank Him for the breath in Your lungs, for a new day
E – “Empathy” – Let Your Heart reach out to anyone who is in a difficult place or situation. Those close to You and far.

In Jesus’ Holy name. Amen!
Bridle your tongue.
We stumble in many ways. Anyone who is never at fault in what they say is perfect able to keep their whole body in check.
James 3 :2
According to James, the litmus test for our spiritual maturity isn’t rooted in how religious we are, whether we can quote scripture, or whether we do an abundance of good works instead, it hinges on the words that flow from our mouths.
James 1 :26 says, “If anyone thinks himself to be religious (piously observant of the external duties of his Faith) and does not bridal he’s tongue but deluded his own heart, this person’s religious service is worthless (futile, barren)”.
No matter how religious you think you are, the true test of your spiritual maturity is whether you “Bridle” your tongue or not. Bridle means to restrain or control. If we don’t learn to control our words, we hinder our spiritual growth and full short of the maturity God desires of Us.
Prayer for today:
Lord, through your grace I’m empowered to control the words I speak. May my words be guided by your wisdom and Grace.
In Jesus’ name Amen.

God’s Gift of Kindness.
Kindness must be up there with the greatest of God’s gifts available to us, and the great news is that all God’s gifts are free, we do not need to earn them. So no work there!
Some acts of kindness a very simple asking someone how they are, giving up a seat for someone, or maybe opening a door for someone. However simple each act given and received offers blessings. The more complex the help more the blessings, so don’t hold back.
Asking for help can create numerous blessings and benefits.
A fresh example from just two days ago that led me to write my first devotional:
I’ve been knocked sideways mild case of food poisoning, mild as I was not admitted to hospital but extremely unpleasant. Two and a half days in, I needed help. I needed someone whose heart was right and I could depend on. I needed some specialied food to try and get my system working again.
Darrell, God told me 😉. Darrell and I have history, and the understands the path I’m on. Darrell knows he leeds a bit of a hectic life, large family, cash is tight, but he does work from home. He’s a good lad.
The call takes place “Darrell, it’s Terry I could do with some help.” “What is it?”, I explain but I need some simple foods to help to try and get my gut started again. ” of course I will give me a list and I’ll get to the shops within half an hour and drop them down to you”! Not a flicker, not a moments hesitation, just what I needed.
So, I sorted the list we agreed and off we went about an hour later the call from the supermarket, concerned that he might get the wrong thing, but as we talked on the phone a lady chipped in and helped Darrel find the right thing. Or was that an angel on his shoulder comma more on that later.
They’re all completed the task with flying colours, delivered the goods, perfect and I gave him sufficient money to cover the food, his time and expenses. Amen.
Now, this got me thinking…
“Kindness” and what really happened here. I realized that blessings had been going backwards and forwards like crazy, an angel had been on Darrell’s shoulder and Darrell and myself were so pleased, we felt good as God would want us to feel.
So what about all these blessings, I needed to make a score sheet, and this is it:
1. When we are asked by someone (a) for help, a, gets a 🙌 for giving the recipient (b) an opportunity to receive 🙌s (a1 – b0)
2. If b accepts the challenge then b gets a 🙌, and a another to a, for b’s opportunity. (a2 – b1)
3. B now has an angel 😇 on the shoulder the whole time of the task in hand. If b tries his best but fails, b still gets a 🙌 because of trying and should not feel bad, but pleased at being given the opportunity (a2 – b2),
4. If however, b (still with the angel) succeeds in the mission, however small, b gets a 🙌 and should feel good! So by “a” having given “b” the opportunity to feel “good”, a, and, b get a 🙌 (a3 – b3)
5. If b offers help (kindness) before being asked, then the scores change and b wins a3 – b4)! 😄
6. Plus! The the good deed, gets added to b’s Book of Life! 🤗
Prayer For Today:
Dearest Father, God Almighty.
Help me to understand the power of Your Gift of Kindness. May opportunities present themselves to me in evryday, even if I am not able to take up the challenge, and let me not deny another of a blessing and entry into the Book of Life, who offers me help, by turning them down.
I hope you like my 1st Devotional. If you would like to write one, then let me know. E: ask@theway-thetruth.space

Uninvited Guests.
So submit to the authority of God. Resist the devil (Stan firm against him) and he will flee from you. James 4:7 Amp.
Many people let unstable nudes and emotions creep into their lives like uninvited guests.
When you first feel your mood sinking, that’s when you need to regain control and get hold of yourself. Resist right from the onset.
It doesn’t opportunities for you to get offended may arise, but no matter when you feel like inside, you have a choice for stop are you going to throw a fit, or are you going to go to God and ask him to help you change your mood?
When you immediately go to him, something will change inside your heart. Once you get into the habits of going to God first, you will start to see those moods and bad attitudes leave a little sooner. Those uninvited guests may try to get back in, but you have you would have already decided not to let them in!
Prefer for today:
Did God, help me slam the door on bad moods so they so I can move forward into the things you have for me. Amen.

He is the way.
We are hedged in (pressed) on every side (troubled and oppressed in every way), but not cramped or crushed, we suffer embarrassments and perplexed and unable to find a way out, but not driven to despair. 2 Corinthians 4 :8
Have you ever found yourself on the brink of giving up, feeling overwhelmed by circumstances beyond your control?
Satan strategy is to strap us in frustration and anxiety, to get us to focus on our circumstances so our thoughts are consumed which is we face. However, the Bible tells us to lift our eyes to Heaven. The answer to our problems lies in redirecting our focus from what is wrong to God, who remains in control, always with us, and fully capable of making the impossible possible.
When I look at two Corinthians for eight I think it’s interesting, that Paul says they couldn’t find a way out, but say there was no way out. See, even when we can’t think of a way out of our problems on our own, we can put our hope in Jesus, who has promised us that he is the Way (John 14: 6). We can look to Him and trust him with our situation.
Prayer for today:
God, I’m tired of trying to figure things out on my own. You are the way, and I trust you to bring me through my circumstances. Amen

A Right Attitude
Constantly renewed in the Spirit of Your Mind and having a fresh mental and spiritual attitude.
Ephesians 4: 23
No situation in life brings our true attitudes like trials and troubles. Trials develop patience and perseverance . (James 1:3), but as I have been through trials in my life, I found a of other things out of me long before I got to patience. Mostly, they brought out bad attitudes that needed to be for God who use me.
We can actually maintain good attitudes during times of trouble if we believe difficulty will produce blessings in our lives in the end.
I encourage you to take time to truly think about your mindset and especially consider how you react when you go through difficulties. If you notice yourself heading down a negative path. Remember: you can shift your thinking before it goes too far. You can always choose a positive perspective and Grace.
Pray for today:
Dear Lord, I believe that a positive attitude as the power to transform a negative Circumstance into a blessing! , oh God, and know my heart. Test me and know my anxious thoughts. Grant me the strength to change what needs to be changed. Amen.

Speak To Your Mountain
Truly I tell you, if anyone says to this mountain, ” go, throw yourself into the sea.” and does not doubt in their heart but leaves that what they say will happen, it will be done for them.
Mark 11: 23
Often, when we have a mounting sized problem, we tend to talk about it to anyone who will listen, but what good does that do? Well venting has its place, we remember that God is a better sounding board than anyone else. He is the ultimate comfy dance and advisor.
The next time you have a problem, try speaking God’s truth to your problems, not just about them. Remind those mountains of difficulty what god’s words says by proclaiming: ” I am more than a conqueror” (Romans 8: 37/). ” I can do all things through Christ” ( Philippians 4: 13).” no weapon formed against me shall prevail” ( Isaiah 54: 17).
As you word over your situation, you will discover Newfound strength and encouragement. It will help you believe that god is bigger than your problems. With him by your side, you can handle any challenge that life may throw your way.
Prayer for today:
Dave god, just as Jesus declared your word when the devil tempted him in the wilderness, and just as He defeated the enemy, I will! With faith as my shield, help me overcome every challenge. Amen.

Your Words Have Power!
Death and life are in the power of the tongue and those who love it and indulge it will eat its fruit and bear the consequences of their words.
Proverbs 18 21 amplified
All words contain some kind of power, weather negative or positive, uplifting or downgrading. We are wise to remember that our words have the power to either help or hurt us and other people – to build up or tear down, to bring life or death. We must never underestimate the impact of our words.
We must never underestimate the impact of our words.
Stop when life gets messy, and moods tend to sink for stop when they do, we need to be careful about what we say for stop you may become grouchy or irritable and say things we later regret, but then if it’s too late. Once our words are spoken, they cannot be taken back.
If you already have problems in your life, my make them worse by speaking negatively? Instead, choose faith-filled words that have the power to change your outlook and help lift you out of a difficult situation.
Pray for today:
Dear God, I want to be careful about the words that I speak because I know my words have power. Help me choose positive, life giving words, I want my words to be a source of encouragement and healing. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.

Your Mindset Matters
But my servant Caleb because he has a different spirit and has followed me fully, I will bring into the land into which he went, and his descendants shall possess it.
Numbers 14 24
The story of the Israelites is a good example of what the difference our mindset can make the Israelites have been slaves in Egypt and couldn’t envisage anything better for their future so they got stuck. What was supposed to be an 11-day journey to the promised land, ended up being 40 year journey, all because of their mindset – because they’re thinking was shaped by fear and doubt, not trust. But Joshua and Caleb had a different mindset so god allowed them to enter into the Promised Land.
God wants to do great things in our lives that we can get stuck when we focus on our past or current circumstances. Instead of getting fixated on life’s challenges we can reflect on the countless times God has guided us through them. By focusing on his promises we can shift our mindset in the right direction and go bravely wherever He is leading us.
Pray For Today:
Dear god help me set my mind on you and your promises today. Let my thoughts be aligned with you your will in Jesus name I pray. Amen.

Would you like to be in a good mood every day? Of course you do! Doesn’t he? I spent many years being controlled by a variety of movements and believing I had no choice about how I felt. But I do have a choice! We all do. We all make choices about our thoughts and attitudes toward life.
Your mind, your moods, and your attitudes are all intrinsically connected. It begins with your thoughts, which then transform into the words you speak, shaping your emotional state and your future toward life.
Your mind, your mouth, your moods, your attitudes toward life.
Your mind, your mouth, your movements, and your attitudes are all inextricably linked. It starts with your thoughts, which then transform into the words you speak, shaping your emotional state and your attitude toward life. If you truly want to be in a good mood regularly, focusing on positive thoughts and positive actions brings hope and liberation. You can start by choosing to think about things that generate positive emotions instead of negative ones.
If you desire greater emotional stability, maintain a consistently positive attitude regardless of circumstances, set it as a goal, and don’t give up until you achieve it, regardless of your age or how long you’ve allowed negativity to control your life. It’s never too late for a new beginning. As you walk with God, you can always Start Over. Your story doesn’t have to be your destiny!
God, help me Start Over. No more negative and bitter thoughts for me! Help me choose differently. I want to think and say things that keep me in a good mood. Amen.
Goals keep us focused on our primary mission and helps us to structure our lives. Jesus’ goal, of giving salvation, shaped the way he lived every day and guided his every interaction with others. We are also tempted to do too much, but god gives us only what we can accomplish while living a godly balanced life. God Is Not glorified by our doing everything we possibly can but by us fulfilling the specific tasks he has for us.
I brought glory to you here on Earth by doing everything you told me to do.
John 17 4
